Richard started the afternoon with a plaiting demonstration of both mane and tail, followed by a demonstration of harnessing their two shire horses and hitching them to a vehicle. Members and guests were then taken for a short ride down some of the local lanes giving everyone a chance to talk and ask questions.

Back at the farm Paul Hemmings, Sharon and Becky Benfield were preparing the BBQ.

On their return from the ride, having un-harnessed the horses, brushed them down and made them comfortable, everyone relaxed in the garden and enjoyed good food, weather and company! It is fair to say that a good time was had by all.
