3rd September 2010:
Hello! We have some new items arrive yesterday- the Schleich Pony Carriage and Pony Riding Set. These long awaited items are perfect for your collection of Pony Parade models! The carriage comes with a palomino Shetland pony called Heathcliff, harness, carriage and Lily the Driver. The harness is removable so you can harness up another pony to this carriage and head out on another adventure. We are dying to try out Merlin the Chinteague pony in between the shafts!!

The Pony Riding set comes with a Black Bridle, Saddle, Rider, Purple Headcollar and Purple Rug. The Bridle and Saddle are adjustable and fit most models within the Pony Parade ranges. Now your ponies can go for a hack too! Stay tuned for pictures of ponies in this smart new tack set soon! Both items can be found in the Pony Parade section here.

Have a great weekend.

27th August 2010:
Good Afternoon. Good news today, really really good news in fact! Next week sees the arrival of not only the new Breyer Stablemates (WOO!) but tack for the Traditional range of models too! (Double WOO!) We have waited for these items to finally gallop into the UH stable for absolute yonks and its so nice to post news of their imminent arrival! There are 8 new Stablemates in the range, 6 of which are new moulds. Each model represents one of disciplines of the World Equestrian Games (WEG)- Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Reining, Endurance, Driving, Vaulting and Para Dressage. Each one is sure to be very popular although from talking with the UH team in the office, i think the driving stablemate will be the most popular! Pre-Order your Stablemate models here.

News from our tack room is that we have lots of English and Western items due in too! So much in fact that we think that you might be spoilt for choice! Sets that will be back into stock are: 2041 English Riding Set (Blue & Yellow), 2451 English Riding Set (Burgundy), 2042 Western Riding Set (Pink & Green), 2467 Cimarron Western Saddle (a fantastic saddle!) aswell as our favourite 2464 Devon Huntseat Saddle and 2465 Stoneleigh Dressage Saddle. All of these items can be pre-ordered from this section of the website. One thing that i must remember to mention is that this tack might be limited, as in we might run out before Christmas (eek!), so its best to get them whilst you can.

Also, don't forget that our Goody Bag offer ends on the 31st August 2010 (Tuesday).  We are giving away a FREE Goody Bag of Horsey Goodies and Activities with each order. Each Goody Bag contains an Utterly Horses Summer Activity Sheet, a Utterly Horses Summer Colouring Competition entry form, I Love Horses Pen and pencils.

The theme of the goody bag is to make and create, to banish any boredom that you may have over the long summer holidays. Our Summer Activity sheet has 7 different activates on it including how to draw horses, cook up a storm in the kitchen with our recipe for Chocolate Oaties and even make jumps for your model horses! There are also two exciting competitions featured on the activity sheet that you can enter too- a short story and photo competition. These will both run over the summer holidays and each of the goodies that are also in your bag, the pen, pencil and eraser, will help you enter them both!

Our Summer Colouring Competition has also been launched and an entry form is also included- so there is plenty to do and create! The colouring competition horse this time is Utterly Mr Honeybug, a Thoroughbred Peter Stone Model. The UH team had lots of ideas for this colouring competition horse from turning him into a vaulting horse, a western pleasure mount or even a carriage horse! What will your horse become? Download your entry form here and get creative!

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend and don't forget to check our our Coming Soon section. Talk to you all in September!! :)

20th August 2010:
Hello All! Its been a while!  It has been a little bit of a long time since my last ramblings- where have I been? Under a rock?! Haha, sort of. For the last two weeks I have been away on holiday (or a late honeymoon) in America. I’m now back in the office and have lots of things to tell you. I hope you are sitting comfortably as I have a lot to share!

Segway!Where did I go in America? We went to visit San Francisco and Las Vegas, two places on the West Coast of the USA that are completely different. For example, weather wise, San Francisco was colder than the UK (which we didn’t think was possible. San Francisco is in California!) whereas Las Vegas was a balmy 43 degrees celsius, permanently. So I guess you could say we froze in San Francisco but then roasted in Las Vegas! Whilst in San Francisco, we visited Alcatraz , walked the Golden Gate bridge, rode the famous cable cars and even toured the city on a segway. A segway is those weird and wonderful two wheeled “things”… check out the picture, right. I took loads of pictures whilst I was there- over 1000 photographs!

Wild DonkeyIn Las Vegas we went to a few shows, visited the Grand Canyon via helicopter and even managed to play in a couple of the casinos without losing a fortune! I can happily report that we did win some money, although it wasn’t enough to fly us both home in a private jet! Also whilst we were in Vegas we hired a car for the day to get out of the city and see some non-touristy things. We went to the Hoover Dam (which is extremely impressive) and then went off the radar, driving roads that were in the middle of nowhere. It was really weird as you would be driving on a road in the middle of a desert with no buildings, vegetation, nothing as far as the eye could see. It was scary in one sense but really refreshing in another, to be seeing a part of Las Vegas that not many tourists get to see. Whilst driving on a road near a canyon, we saw a road sign for wild donkeys, which we both had a giggle at. We both said that you see signs for deer but donkeys?!

Moments later we actually saw a wild donkey! He was happily wandering in between the bushes at the side of the road, without seemingly a care in the world. It was quite odd to see!! We left him eating in the bushes and carried on the road. Ten minutes later we saw a car stationary in the distance and as we got closer, we saw that the car had stopped as there was a donkey in the road. We slowed as we got near the other car and I wound down my window, as well, I’m nosey! There standing next to the vehicle in front was a donkey smelling the car. His nose was smelling the roof whilst his big ears waggled in the hot afternoon sun. It was an unusual sight! I called over to the donkey and he plodded over, letting the car in front resume its journey. He then stood next to our car and then put his big head inside, through the open window. To say we were both a bit surprised was an understatement! After the donkey had deduced that we did not have anything of interest to eat, he pulled his head out of the car and wandered back over to the bushes at the side of the road and began picking at the sparse foliage. He was quite calm, content and so we left him happily munching and carried on our own journey. Take a look at the pictures of our wild donkey friend.

So, now I’m back from my travels and back in UH HQ. What has been happening whilst I have been gone? The good news is lots of things which I get to tell you about now. Are you ready?

UH 10th Birthday CompetitionFirstly, our Goody bag promotion is still running and ends on the 31st August 2010. A free goody bag is available with every order and contains an Utterly Horses Summer Activity sheet, a I love Horses Pen, Pencil and eraser. Within your goody bag you will also find details of three competitions. One is our Colouring Competition featuring Utterly Mr Honeybug, another is our Short Story Competition and also our Photo Competition. Details of all of these competitions are now available to view online (please click here) and some of the entries for our Photo Competition have been put online for you to see. One of the entries is also shown, right (thank you Tyra for sending it in). Gallop on over to our facebook page (or click here) to see them. Don’t forget that the competitions also finish on the 31st August 2010 so you have a few days left to enter. Lucky winners will have their pictures/story published on the Utterly Horses website aswell as a Traditional Scale Red Rum Model.

In Breyer Model news, more models have been added to the mid year range- Ravel, Zenyatta and Diamond Jubilee. Ravel is a bay horse created on the Idocus mould. In real life, Ravel is a dressage horse and USET Horse of the year for 2009. Zenyatta is a dark brown horse, created on the Lonesome Glory mould (also known as the Red Rum mould in this year’s range). Zenyatta is a 17hh racehorse who re-wrote racing history in 2009 by becoming the first mare ever to win the Breeders cup Classic and in 17 races she has won all 17! Diamond Jubilee (right) is a unusual horse and one I have to admit will be finding its way into my collection! 2010 is Breyers 60th Anniversary and to celebrate they have created Diamond Jubilee, a model that has been hand-crafted using authentic diamond dust. There are only 2010 models being made, with each one coming with a certificate of authenticity. Some exciting models that will be joining us in a few months time.

Ravel Zenyatta
Today have seen the arrival of some new faces in the form of new GeeGee models. Geisha, Gambit, Gabriel and Gemma are the latest additions and each one comes with lots of accessories to add to your stableyard including tack, rugs, haybales and brushes. We also have some new backpacks in, just in time for the start of the new school term. Our horse riding themed backpack has a large internal storage area and two external pockets that are ideal for putting drinks bottles into. It's got adjustable, padded straps on the back too and a carrying handle on the top. The backpack is made from vinyl with the funky purple horse riding pattern all over it and the backpack is opened via a zip. A Dinosaur themed backpack is also available. Pictures and more details can be found here.

I think I have forgotten to mention it before but UH is off on our travels to the Horse of the Year show on the 6th-10th October 2010. If you are visiting, don’t forget to drop by our stand (O8C) to say hello and pick up your free goody bag. We will have hundreds of models with us (and some dinosaurs too), aswell as special offers and some show offers too. Club members, don’t forget to bring your membership cards!

Christmas is less than 6 months away now (eek!) and Breyers Christmas line-up for this year has been revealed. Jewel is the 2010 Christmas Horse this year, created on the Showjumping Warmblood mould (also known as Mon Gamin from this years range) and bejewaled with gem covered saddle, bridle and saddle pad. He is a buckskin with no white markings and is the 14th in the Breyer Christmas series. Jewel is joined by several ornaments including a silver Stirrup ornament on a green ribbon with a small model of Jewel in the middle, a porcelain model of a grey Welsh pony, a prancing chestnut carousel horse and a hand-blown green glass bauble with images of horses on either side. Some of the ornaments are shown below and pictures of the Christmas range can be found here.

So, as you can see, it’s a been a busy few weeks both at UH HQ and out on my travels. I think I’ll need another holiday to recover! Hehe!

Have a great weekend everyone and talk to you next week.

Becky :)

23rd July 2010:
Afternoon All!
Its Friday (woohoo!) and for many of you i imagine its the end of school too for 6 weeks (you lucky things!). 6 weeks is an awfully long time, what are you all going to do!? Haha. I can't really remember much of my summer holidays off school to be honest. I remember thinking the first two weeks were fantastic and then it got really boring and i wanted to be back at school!! That and it always seemed to rain during the school holidays, endlessly!

So, school is out for the summer (as the song goes!) and that means FREE Goody Bags from Utterly Horses! Yes! Thats right! We are giving away a FREE Goody Bag of Horsey Goodies and Activities with each order to help keep you busy during the holidays. Each Goody Bag contains an Utterly Horses Summer Activity Sheet, a Utterly Horses Summer Colouring Competition entry form, I Love Horses Pen, Pencil and horse eraser.

Download your entry form here and get creative!

Have fun and enjoy the goody bags!

16th July 2010:
Gooood Evening all. And, yes, i did mean to write the word evening!! Its 7.30pm and i'm still here, beavering away in UH HQ! The horses (and dinos!) are keeping me company so its not so bad, although they are very noisy chomping away on their haynets. So, what have i been up to recently? Its been a manic week, almost like a mini Christmas with mountains of boxes coming in and going out. Perhaps i better put the Christmas Carols CD on? (!)

You might have seen that we are having a horse auction at the moment, in which we are selling off lots of gems that we have found wandering around our warehouse looking lost. In todays lots that were uploaded, there were some 2001 Breyer models including Davy Crockett, Pegasus and the Pony Express. Other fantastic items we have found are resins, porcelains and even some rarer models. One such item is the Breyer Medalist Ponies Set, which includes one Gold, Silver and Bronze pony. These were made in 2008 to celebrate the Olympics and only 350 models were produced of each one. Gallop over to eBay to see our horse auctions. Maybe you can give a home to a horse?

Our 2010 catalogue is now officially released and i hope that you have all received your copy okay. If not, please request another copy through our "Request a Catalogue" page and we will get another one cantering its way to you. All of the new items can be found online and there are even some items on here that are not in our catalogue. I meant to ask what you all thought of the front cover? Drop me an email and let me know!

At the moment, we are running a promotion on the Saddle Club models. There is £5.00 off each of the Classic Scale Saddle Club models so its a perfect time to add that extra horse to you collection. Each of the Saddle Club models come with a horse, rider and tack. Talking of Saddle Club riders, did you notice Lisa on the front cover of the new UH catalogue?

Talking of new things, we have some old faces trot back into our stable, in the form of Red Rum and Victor & Viceroy. Both of these models were first released in 2006 and after a four year absence they make a welcome return to the Traditional Collection. They are also a UK Special Run models that are not available in other parts of the world! That brings our grand total of UK Special Run Breyer models to the grand total of 4- Red Rum, Victor & Viceroy, Pippin and Strikey. Wow! We are spoilt!

On the subject of special run Breyers, the 2010 Breyerfest program is now available to download. The program details what happens at Breyerfest, Special Models available aswell as sneak peaks of upcoming models. Check out the Diamond Jubilee Horse and other upcoming models! Click here to download your copy.

Mid Year news always makes me think of Christmas and i must mention the Breyer Christmas horse for this year- Jewel. Due for Christmas 2010, Jewel is arrayed in glimmering crystal beading, with a stunning saddle and saddle drape in hues of holiday green trimmed in gold. He's adorned from muzzle to tail in sparkling jewels that catch the light for extra sparkle and sits on a decorated gold-tone base. This elegant galloping buckskin sculpted by Susan Carlton Sifton, is the 14th horse in Breyer's holiday series. Jewel offers the realism you'd expect from the horse experts at Breyer and the holiday whimsy that adds an indefinable horsey charm to your Christmas decor.
He will be available to pre-order shortly.

Erm, what else. Due to our mini Christmas rush i'm a little behind with my things to do this week. I wanted to launch the 2010 UH Colouring competition this week but unfortunately have not got around to it as yet, so i must apologise. Keep an eye out for news of the new competition on the website next week, as well as another Birthday celebration event, which i know you will all love! I won't spoil the surprise but the good news is that its only a few days until next week. :)

Well, thats this weeks update. Canter back next week to find out what else i have been up to... and knowing me that can be quite a bit!!

Have a good weekend.
Becky :)

Afternoon! Have you seen the new items i have uploaded to the website over the last few days? We have some exciting new items including a Wooden Folding Horse stable for Traditional Collection Models. It features seven working doors, hay loft, ladder and removable wooden fence. It comes ready assembled and is ready for your models to move in! The unique design means you can open the stable to reveal stables on either side or leave it closed to create a stable style block. This stable is fantastic and we are so pleased to be able to include it in the Utterly Horses range. Click here to see a picture of this stable that is a must have!

Have a good weekend and speak to you all next week.

16th June 2010:

Becky

10th June 2010:
Knew i forgot to mention something. Just a little update on Esprit. They have been delayed, unfortunately, as the vets at the harbour (also known as customs), wanted to check that all the horses were okay. They are due into the country this weekend and so should be set free to us by next week. We apologise for the delay and would like to thank you for your patience. We are as excited as you to get this model into our stables!!

Becky :)

10th June 2010:
Hello All! Hope you have all had a good week. We have had some new arrivals today from Papo. The new Pony Parade Stable tools set is now available in addition to Tonto, Diamond, Antonio, Dot and Mystique. Gallop on over to the Pony Parade section to see these new faces.

Talking of new things, we have several new products on the website this week. Each giftset is a great starter selection of items that are perfect for the new collector or existing one to add to their growing herd.

The UH Team have also been busy this week making glittery ponies, well, soapie ponies to be exact. Our soapie ponies make washing easy and fun as the more hands they wash, the quicker the pony will be revealed. Made from natural glycerin soap and perfumed with a light mint fragrance, these glittery soaps have a pony hidden inside that are waiting to gallop free! Handmade by the UH team, each soap comes beautifully presented and makes an ideal little gift. They are perfect for party bags too! Click here to see some pictures.

Well, thats all for today. See you tomorrow!

Afternoon All,
Its been a lovely short week this week but my-o-my, do we manage to pack some things into it!! Where to start with all my news? Well, the Utterly Mr Honeybugs and Utterly Tom Truffles have been trotting out of the door to their new homes and  I thought you might like to see a picture that one owner sent of her Mr Honeybug tacked up in a fantastic handmade Western Parade Saddle Set. I think you will agree that he looks very handsome and can turn his hoof to anything! These models are going very quickly so if you have one on your wishlist, please order sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Both models are strictly limited to just 36 pieces of each and once these are gone, thats it. No-more produced. Learn more about these models here.

Elvis and Rising SunTalking about new models, news of the Breyer Mid Year range has surfaced and there are some really nice things this year. Portrait models of Elvis Presley horses, Stablemate version of the Breast Cancer Awareness model, Yellow (!!) My other bit of good news is that our 2010/11 Catalogue is at the printers and should be back fairly soon. I will of course post details of when it has returned and when they are being mailed out so you can all keep an eye out for the postman. Our catalogue this year celebrates our 10th Anniversary and if you haven't already, take a look at how to take part in our Birthday Celebration in which we are giving away FREE Breyer Traditional Model Horses. Collect any 6 Traditional Model Horses from UH and choose your 7th one FREE! Wow!

28th May 2010:
Hello! Some really exciting news today! Today was the day our Birthday Celebrations officially started and the free Model celebration was launched. As you may or may not know, 2010 is Utterly Horses 10th Birthday and to celebrate it we are doing things that we have always wanted to do. Creating Utterly Tom Truffle and Utterly Mr Honeybug was one of these things and giving away FREE Breyer Traditional Model Horses is the second one on our celebration always- wanted-to-do list! Our free model celebration is where you can receive a Traditional Breyer model horse free by collecting any 6 Breyer Traditional Model Horses. Select from Treasured Moves the beautiful pinto Quarter Horse mare, Baxter the prancing Grey Morgan or Chili, the handsome chestnut pinto as your free model. Becky :)
25th May 2010:
OOooo, its been a busy week already. Lots of new faces have arrived today! Rather than post individually, i thought i would do a group post of what new models have galloped into stock recently. There are four Traditional horses- Isadora Cruce the medicine hat Mustang, Rachel Alexandra the Thoroughbred, Misty and Stormy (with book), Smarty Jones the world famous racehorse. All models are in stock and available to purchase now. Click here for pictures.

3 retired models that also make a welcomed return are Fire Magic (the 2005 Breyerfest Special Run), Newsworthy, the jumping pony and Treasured Moves the gorgeous paint mare who debuted in the range in 2007! How time flys! Thats over 3 years ago!!

Talking of models making a return, back in 2008, Breyer produced four models as part of the Ethereal Collection symbolizing the elements Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Each model was created by Breyer Master Sculptor Kathleen Moody and featues a stamp of the horse's name and "Ethereal Collection" on the belly. They also include a Certificate of Authenticity and a removable, decorative base. Well, these four models are back into stock at Utterly Horses, allowing you to collect all 4, all in one go! Earth is a colourful pinto, Wind a fleabitten grey, Fire a fiery appaloosa and Water a dark dapple grey. Collect the set! Click here for more details.

Lots of goodies today!!

We even found some fantastic Breyer Animals and Wildlife models that have not been in production since 2004! Many of the items within this section are one off items, so if you see something you like make sure you lasso it straight away before it gallops off into the sunset! 10th May 2010:
Hello All,
Gosh, i have been a little bit quiet over the last couple of weeks. Have a been on holiday? Nope. Stuck in an exotic country due to volcanic ash? No, sadly not. So, where have i been or what have i been up to?! Well, , I have been helping to move UH into shiny new custom built premises! Yes, you read that correctly! Today was our first proper day in our new offices and i'm happy to report that all the horses (and dinosaurs) are settling in nicely. They love their new stable and have been very good at keeping it very tidy (so far- it properly won't last!).

Our new home is still located in Essex and is funnily enough not far from our last location which we sadly outgrew. The new UH HQ features a beautiful warehouse that is stocked to the brim with your favourite models and has space for any new goodies we find on our travels. It has even been designed to our specifications which makes it extra funky because we have little corridors that lead to more racks of horses with little nooks and crannies for those small things. We even have a scary dinosaur corner (Grr!). In short, its totally and utterly fantastic!

Lots of things have been changing over the last couple of weeks and our Utterly Horses retail shop has also moved. It is no longer in Finchingfield and we are currently searching for alternative premises at the moment, after our original plan for new shop premises fell through unfortunately. When we were clearing the shop out it was like going through a horse shaped treasure chest though! I had forgotten how many different types, makes and models there were stabled there! There were Painted Ponies, Lakeshores, Breyer Porcelains, Ex-Display Horses, Retired Models... there as even a Breyer Elephant! Clearing the shop took a little longer than expected as i kept stopping every five minutes to look (and play!) with all the horses.

Over the next few days, i will be uploading these items to the website in a special section that will feature items from our UH retail shop. Items in this section will be limited and so if you see something you like, be quick before it gallops away. Of course i will let you all know when this goes live but please be patient. It will take me a couple of takes to photograph and catalogue everything!

Talking of new items, our newest additions to our range are the Pegasi and Unicorns from Schliech, aswell, as some new Dogs. We have a Pegasus Horse and Foal and a rearing Unicorn and Unicorn foal. Both are absolutely gorgeous and have lots of details on them, including glitter and plant or sun designs. The new dogs are brilliant too and to our surprise are 1:24th scale not 1:12th scale as previously expected. Well, we think they should be 1:24th; they look much better standing beside a Pony Parade horse rather than a Classic one. They are a little dwarfed by Classic Horses! There are three families of Dogs- Pug, Labrador and Great Dane and these can be found under the Dogs & Cat category in the Pony Parade section.

Well, thats my little update for today. No doubt there will be more tomorrow as things are getting back to normal. What news will i bring tomorrow? Hmm, it could be something horse shaped and chocolate like. I'm thinking Truffles- and not the edible version! :)

7th April 2010:
Morning All! Just a couple of update today. Firstly, a huge thank you for the huge amount of interest in our two models, Utterly Tom Truffle and Mr Honeybug. I think UTT is winning in the popularity stakes but UMH is not far behind! I wanted to let you know how the models will be offered to everyone. Utterly Horses Club members will be given the priority to purchase these models first and then after a week, they will go on general sale. One of the advantages of being a club members is having first access to special run models and these model offerings, is one example of that. Anyway, keep an eye on my blog and website for further details, especially the dates of when they go on sale.

Also, i have heard on the grapevine news of the possible 2011 Breyerfest Celebration model- the model that is released and only available at the event held in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. The horse that they are interested in featuring is "Blanco". Blanco, the white andalusian, played "Shadowfax" in the Lord of the Rings trilogy series. He is owned by Cynthia Royal, of Sudley Springs, Virginia (USA) who trained him in the art of tackless riding (without a saddle), among a number of other tricks. Very exciting news indeed especially when you start to wonder about what mould it could be produced on. A white grey Esprit would be fantastic! We will have and wait and see how this piece of news pans out- and of course as soon as i know, you will know too!

Utterly Tom Truffle6th April 2010:
Hello! I hope you all had a good Easter and didn't eat too many Easter eggs. I managed to eat one, which i didn't think was too bad! Now that we are back in the office, i can finally reveal something we have been sitting on for absolutely ages! This year is Utterly Horses 10th birthday and to celebrate this milestone we have teamed up with Stone horses, makers of model horses in the USA, to produce two exclusive and highly collectable models only available to Utterly Horses customers. Utterly Tom Truffle and Utterly Mr Honeybug are two Traditional scale models designed by the Utterly Horses team and handpainted by the team at Stone Horses, based in the countryside town of Shipshewana in Indiana.

Utterly Mr HoneybugEach model is a horse that we have always wanted to see in our range and its taken a long time for us to get the chance to finally include them. Utterly Tom Truffle & Utterly Mr Honeybug are each limited to a small run of just 36 pieces and come numbered, certificated and hand-signed by myself, in addition to arriving at their new homes in a fleecy travel bag.

Models are available on a first come-first served basis and is strictly limited to 36 models. Don’t miss the chance to add a little piece of history to your collection- we only are 10 years old once! Details and more pictures to go online very soon. I'll keep you posted.

Becky :)

1st April 2010:
Afternoon! Its been a busy April Fools Day. The latest issue of the Model Horse Magazine (Volume 13) has just arrived back from the printers! Woo! This issue is jammed packed as usual with lots of interesting topics, hobby articles and model news. Please click here for a full listing. Magazines are being posted out to all club members and subscribers this afternoon and should be with you in the next few days. You must let me know what you think about the special run models! I think they are absolutely gorgeous!

Two new products also found new homes in our warehouse. The Stablemates tractor playset and the Deluxe Animal Hospital. Pictures and details of each of these items can be found in our "New Products" section.

Talking about the date today, did you see any April Fool's today? The best one i saw online was about the AA using rocketmen to reach stranded motorists on the roads (click here for the story), although the one about ferrets being used to lay broadband cables did make me giggle. There are some really funny ones on the news and in the papers today. I did have to look twice at one that said the clocks were going foward an hour again today!! (story here).

Anyway, before i sign off, i would like to wish you all a Happy Easter. Don't eat too many Easter eggs and just remember to share them with your models!

Becky :)

11th March 2010:
Afternoon :) I have another new item to share with you today. A giftbox that allows you to adopt an Exmoor Pony of your choice for a year. In association with the Moorland Mousie Trust- a registered charity dedicated to preserving and protecting these endangered ponies- this gift allows you to adopt an Exmoor pony of your choice for 12 months and thus contribute to their future survival. The Exmoor pony is one of the world's oldest and rarest breeds and is on the endangered list. Once you have decided which pony to adopt, simply register the gift by following the instructions inside the gift box. A personalised supporter certificate and a colour photograph of your pony will then follow in the post and in many cases people can visit and ride their adopted pony in its natural habitat.

We think that this is a very funky gift and one that helps at the same time too. For more details and pictures, please click here.

Maya the Friesian Horse10th March 2010:
Evening! Its very cold and dark here in the office this evening, although, that could be that its just after 7pm and i'm still here. Haha. Well, i have a good excuse as i have lots of things i wanted to tell you!! Firstly, some new product news.

Some of the new 2010 Papo Horses are now in stock and they are looking for new homes! New horses include Maya the Friesian Mare (right) and her foal Onyx and the Lusitano horse Diego and Sombra his foal. Don't forget to look at the other 2010 coming soon Papo Horses in our photo album on facebook here. There are some fantastic new additions including more Gypsy Cobs, Arabians, Appaloosas and Thoroughbreds.

One of the best products we have seen all year arrived in the office this week. The Horse and Pony Stable Mural is absolutely fantastic. Ever wanted a whole stable in your bedroom? Well, now you can thanks to this totally and utterly fantastic mural! We love this item and its definately going to cover one of our walls when the office has a makeover! This "utterly horses" mural has horses everywhere you look and is a great alternative to normal wallpaper or expensive hand painted murals for bedrooms, nurserys or playrooms. This mural measures 10ft x 8ft but the great thing about it is that is comes in 12 pieces allowing you to customise the size of the mural if required (i.e take away some of the pieces to create a smaller mural or you could always split the mural into two smaller ones). The possibilities are endless! What is the mural made of you may ask. Well, the mural is a wallpaper backed, wipeable wall covering and can be applied to any clean wall using wallpaper paste. It comes rolled up similar to wallpaper and includes fitting instructions. Pictures and more details can be found here.

Lastly, the exciting bit of news for this evening. Calling all Pony Parade lovers! We decided to run a promotion for the Pony Parade range for a change and so during March, you can rug your models for FREE!!  When you purchase FOUR individual Pony Parade Horses (Schleich, Papo and Safari Models) during March we will give you a FREE set of 3 Pony Parade Rugs that have each been hand-made by the Utterly Horses team. Created from snazzy materiald, each rug just slips over your models head for easy rugging up and come in a rainbow of funky colours. All individual Schleich, Papo and Safari models are included in this promotion and full details can be found here.

Right, i better escape the office now. I think its going to be an evening infront of the TV. Man Utd are playing tonight and even though i haven't a clue about football, my footy mad husband has influenced me somehow and so i think i'm going to watch it and cheer them on. Saying that, could it be the football or simply because David Beckham is playing tonight? Hmm. Haha.
Enjoy the new items and let me know what you think of them. Drop me an email at: becky@utterlyhorses.com.

Becky :)
(who said she would never ever date anyone who liked football! Haha, that went very wrong for the better!).

Becky's & Lees Wedding3rd March 2010:
Hellooooooo! I'm back! Back but under a different name!! :) Wow. A lot has happened over the last few weeks and i can honestly say that i'm still beaming! Today i have been going through some of the thousand-odd wedding pictures, and one is shown right, taken by Tina (thanks Tina!). Of course as soon as i get more pictures and get around to getting them all online, i will let you all know. I'm sure some of you would love to see! As you can just see in the picture, which shows us just as the ceremony has finished, the wedding "theme" was purple (my favourite and utterly colour) and i went for a traditional wedding dress. The strapless dress was covered in handbeaded panels together with a long train, and then i had a veil too. It was certaintely a bit different to work clothes that is usually the attire here in the office! How was the day? Oh gosh, it was so magical! It went fast so quickly but wow, it was absolutely totally and utterly fantastic! Marrying the one you love was without doubt the best thing about the day but there were so many things that were special and so many memories to treasure. We got married in the castle keep by hundreds of candles with all our close friends and family there, watching over everything. We then had the reception in a Georgian Manor house and marquee, and then danced, celebrated and rocked the night away until the small hours! We were a little non-traditional when it came to entertainment at the reception as we had a Wii, together with the Beatles Rockband game and our "first dance" was a guitar and drums duet on the game!! We are both big kids at heart! Many people will be wondering if i had a horse and carriage to take me to the wedding and the answer is no, i went for a different kind of horse power in the form of a beautiful vintage Rolls Royce that was without doubt more behaved than a pair in harness! Horsey themed items did make it into the wedding though (how couldn't they?!) in the form of knights for all the guests that attended (thanks Gary!). Anyway, before i bore you all to death about the best day of my life and before i get extra soppy, i will tell you about some exciting model news, Christmas models to be exact!

The Breyer Christmas Horse for this year is “Jewel”. Jewel is a buckskin horse with black mane and tail, decorated in glimmering crystal beading, with a stunning saddle and saddle drape in hues of holiday green trimmed in gold. He’s adorned from muzzle to tail in sparkling jewels that catch the light for extra sparkle and sits on a decorated gold-tone base. Produced on the “Mon Gamin”, Showjumping Warmblood Mould, sculpted by Susan Carlton Sifton, Jewel is the 14th horse in Breyer’s holiday series and will be available towards the end of the year. Accompanying Jewel in this years line-up are many ornaments, two in particular are the Artists Signature and the Beautiful Breeds Ornaments. The hand blown glass Artists Signature Ornament features Secretariat on one side and a bay Thoroughbred on the reverse. The bisque porcelain Beautiful Breed ornament features a Welsh Pony for this years season. He is a dark dapple grey and wears a halter decorated with red bows for the holiday season. Pictures and full details of all of the Christmas items will be released as soon as possible.

Well, i better get back to work. To much time looking at wedding pictures and not doing proper work. Tut tut! Haha!
Talk to you all soon

Becky :) (or Mrs H! A big HELLO and I Love you to Mr H. xXx).

18th February 2010:

16th February 2010:
Afternoon. Just a little bit of news today. The first Winter models have been seen online... and the surprise is that he is spotty! He is a black leopard appaloosa, painted in the same pattern as #1332 Matrix, the Collectors Edition from 2008. This model can be obtained by collecting the three other models in the series- Spring, Summer and Autumn. Here is a link to a picture of this model.

15th February 2010:
Morning! Its Monday. Gosh, i haven't been this excited about a Monday for ages. Why may you ask? Well, its only a few days until my Wedding! And.... in celebration of this, we are giving away FREE goody bags with all orders over £20.

Each goody bags has lots of exciting things to help you make and create different items. There are horse stickers which you can use for decorating your books and folders (or maybe some earrings. There is a legendary story that Becky made some clip-on dangly earrings from these stickers for a black tie awards ceremony! They were a big hit by the way!) A Thelwell Pencil, Pen and Horse Eraser and also a multi-coloured pencil and sharpener. Why not have a go at drawing horses or maybe write a short horse story? The best way to have a go at drawing horses is use your model horses. Try sketching one of your favourite models and see where your creative side takes you. Also included in the cotton bag, which all your items come safely enclosed within and is a great storage idea for your model's bits and pieces, is an exclusive Utterly Horses button badge. Never released before, this badge is limited and will only be available in this goody bag. Click here for more details.

Also, please note that since all of the Utterly Horses Team will be attending the wedding, that our office will be closed for telephone orders on the 18th & 19th February 2010. Our website will be fully operational and all orders submitted during this time will be despatched on the 22nd February 2010. Of course, piccies from the big day will be posted as soon as possible- keep an eye out here for more details.

Becky
(who can you tell is soooooo excited!)

9th February 2010:
Afternoon! Brrr, its chilly in our office today. I must apologise in advance for any spelling mistakes...! I'm wearing gloves and trying to tap the right keys doesn't always go to plan! One model i have been meaning to share with you is Fleetstreet Max, a new Breyer Traditional Model. The odd thing about this model is it seems that the UK is the first to get him but he is not a UK special run. Odd. He is a very handsome Quarter Horse produced on the Zippo Pine Bar mould. He is based on Fleetstreet Max,  a unique paint horse that holds the record for the most World Championships in the history of the American Paint Horse Association. Fleetstreet Max excels in Western Pleasure and Working Hunter classes and can even do one tempe changes (or flying lead changes as they are also known, every stride! Click here to read more about this model.

Several other exciting items that we have in stock at the moment are a "Paint your Own" Jump and a gigantic wall mural. Check out these items in our New Products section.

In Becky news, the BIG day is getting closer. 240 hours to be precise. Haha. A little hint is that there is going to be a little celebration online so keep an eye on the website for something appearing towards the end of the week (hint hint!). What could we be up to?!

Becky :)

28th January 2010:
Morning! Wow, what a week it has been. We have had lots of deliveries this week and our website is looking near enough back to normal, which is good to see. The new 2010 Breyer Traditional models are gorgeous! If you have not seen which models we have in stock at the moment, click here to take a peak. I'm hoping over the next few weeks to break models out of their boxes so i can take pictures from all angles, which will then be posted onto each product page, so keep checking back.

One interesting development this year is the Breyer 2010 Treasure Hunt. There are three models in this years "hunt", Spring- a chestnut Heavy, Summer- a paint Heavy horse and Autumn (or Fall)-  a bay Shire. There are two varations that each model comes in too- glossy and matt. The matt ones are without varnish, as in they are not shiny, whereas the gloss ones make them look like china models. So, in theory, there are two sets of models available in the Treasure hunt this year- one set in matt and one set in glossy. The interesting question would be that if you collected three models of different finishes, so say you had two glossy models and one matt, and then you sent off for the fourth "Winter" model, would that final model be matt or glossy? Hmm, i think we are going to have to test the theory!!

One other model that has caught our eye (and one that everyone seems to want to take home with them here in UH HQ!) is O'learys Irish Diamond. He is a huge model and is a lovely colour. He even has a pink nose too! I think we have plans for this model. I'm thinking something driving wise, or maybe we will make him into a cavalry horse, a trumpeters horse. Now, there's an idea!!

The Classic range also had a good boost with the new Saddle Club and accessory sets. All of the Saddle Club sets come with a horse, rider and tack. Our favourite set has to be the "Tacking Up" set as it comes with a horse, bridle, saddle, rug and a tack box. A great addition to an existing collection or if you wanted a set without a rider. One thing we are on the hunt for this year though is Classic scale halters and bridle on their own. Its on our "wishlist"- well, that or we will have to start getting creative and make our own. :)

Hmm, what else has been happening. We are working on the 2010/11 UH Catalogue. You can reserve your copy of the upcoming catalogue by using the "request a catalogue" link on the website but don't forget that if you have already ordered from us in the past, you will automatically receive one. I'll let you know how things progress on this one! A Utterlysaurus catalogue is also in the works as in several over publications. Its busy busy busy design wise!!

In Becky news, the wedding is drawing even closer, 23 days to be exact! My dress is sorted, the (cup)cakes are ordered, the evening entertainment has been figured out and we all know what we are doing- whats missing?! We were having a laugh and joke in the office the other day saying how a wedding is much like an award ceremony, although in the end we decided that a wedding is much more important. Even so, in both cases you have a fancy frock, you get your hair done, nails polished. And you know the sillyiest thing, is that for both i have to practice walking in heels before hand!!

8th January 2010:
Hello All! Happy New Year! I hope you had a great Christmas and have been enjoying the snow. Its bitterly cold here in the office today but the team are wrapped up in mountains of layers in an effort to try and keep warm. We are going to venture out to make a snowman (or should that be a snow-horse?) later!

Christmas seems to have flown past so quickly although from looking in our stockroom it certainely happened. We are currently awaiting deliveries of more items but unfortunately the snow has delayed these, so fingers crossed they will arrive soon. The good news is that we now know most of the 2010 items. In the Breyer range, we see 16 new Traditional Horses join the collection, 3 of which are new moulds. The new moulds are: Esprit- a dapple grey Spanish type horse, Justadream- a Chestnut Arabian Mare and Bet Yer Blue Boons, a red roan Quarter Horse. Pictures of the new moulds can be found here. In the Classic range, we have a new Classic Three Horse Stable and three new Horse and Rider Sets. See the new Classics here. The Stablemates range features 6 new moulds- a Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Para Dressage, Reining and Vaulting, in addition to three new playsets. Pictures and full details- click here!

The Pony Parade collection sees lots of new arrivals too. Schleich have 12 new moulds (!). The Black Forest Family, Shetland Stallion, Lustiano Stallion, Friesian Stallion, Andualsian Mare and Foal, Clydesdale Stallion and a Clydesdale Foal. Safari have three new products we know about at the moment- an new mould Icelandic Horse, Dressage Horse and Rider and a Gypsy Vanner and Rider. Oh, yes, and Schleich have some fantastic pony items that will be available towards the end of the year a Pony Riding Set and a Pony Carriage. To view the new Pony Parade items click here.

  Schleich 2010

ISaddle Clubn addition to the new items, we have found out this morning that we are getting some of the Breyer Saddle Club series. Lisa, Stevie and Carole, the heroines of The Saddle Club television series, are learning about life and riding at Pine Hollow Stables, where they share adventures with their equine friends Prancer, Belle and Starlight. In the series, based on the books written by Bonnie Bryant, they remain true to what brought them together: their love of horses.Due in Late January, nine Breyer sets featuring the horses and riders of the Saddle Club series will be available from Utterly Horses. To view the range, please click here.

In Becky News, i get married in just over 6 weeks! Crumbs! The planning is coming along nicely and i even managed to find a gorgeous dress last week. It was the second dress i tried on and i knew it was "the one" when i looked in the mirror. Its beautiful! Details of the dress are being kept top secret at the moment.. only three people know! I will post piccies as soon as i can. Fingers crossed the groom will like it though!! At the moment i have lists and lists of things to do from flowers to menu cards, to organising transport to evening entertainment. I have to admit organising a wedding its pretty easy compared to a day in the life of Utterly Horses! Perhaps i should start Utterly Weddings? Hmm.. now there is a thought. Maybe one for 2011?

20th December 2009:
Hello all. Brrr! Its freezing in the office today. Its been under the cover of a blanket of snow for the last few days and its become rather like a big fridge. I have to admit i'm having trouble moving today as i have so many clothes on!! Today i'm in the office catching on some bits and doing website updates. Our last order date for Christmas has now passed and any orders placed now will not be guaranteed for Christmas. We are hoping to get some orders despatched tomorrow, weather permitting but orders placed between the 21st December- 4th January 2010 will not be despatched until our return on the 5th January 2010. During Christmas and the New Year, the Utterly Horses team will be taking a little break but our website will be fully operational and open to accept new orders whilst we are away (probably catching up on some sleep!). Keep an eye on the website though as i'm hoping to update it with previews of the 2010 Breyer and Schleich ranges. There are some amazing new models in the line-up this year!

18th December 2009:
Due to the weather conditions, our last order date for a guaranteed Christmas Delivery is the 18th December 2009 before 12 noon. We have had heavy snow overnight and our couriers and the Royal Mail are unable to get to us to collect the parcels. Orders placed after this date, we will try and get despatched, weather and collection permitting. We are loading up our little van now to try and drive out of UH HQ to meet our couriers... i'll let you know how it goes!

12th December 2009:
Hello! Its been a while since my last newsletter as i have to admit i have been busy working away in our warehouse loading horses into their boxes to travel to their new homes. Today i have managed to make it back to my computer to tell you all about some new products that we had arrive yesterday... and just in time for the big day! Christmas!!

First up are two giftsets, Little Prince and Wild Blue. Each set comes with a softback novel and a portrait model of the horse hero featured in the book. These sets are new for 2010 and are a great gift for someone for Christmas. They are bound not to have either model in their collection (as yet!). We have three new Stablemates arrives in the form of a Cherry Creek Ranch, Country Vet Set and Horse Adventures playset. Each set is a US Special Run and so are not readily available here in the UK. It also means they are limited in quantities so please don't delay if you would like to put one of these sets under your Christmas tree. Lastly, is Breyeropoly. This Board Game will test your skill at Horse Trading and Knowledge of Breyer Horse Models! Breyer-opoly lets the players buy, trade, and sell their favourite model horses. Players choose their model horse game pieces and meet at the starting line. One roll of the dice and they're off on an equestrian adventure like no other! This is one game that will we have to break open at the UH Christmas party!! Overall, some fantastic new products that will solve many of your Christmas shopping dilemmas. To view the new arrivals, click here.

Talking of Christmas shopping, just a little reminder that our last order date for Christmas is the 21st December 2009 (at 12 noon) but we recommend ordering sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. After this date, your order will not be guaranteed for Christmas but we will try our very best.

Well, i'm off to do a little more work and then i'm hoping to escape the office to do a little Christmas shopping of my own. Or maybe everyone would like a model horse for Christmas this year! Hehe.
Have a good weekend and talk to you all soon.

1st December 2009:
Woooohooo! Its December! Only 24 Days to go (uses fingers to do the calculation!). Its manic here in the office with boxes practically growing legs and walking around the office. Stock is moving at an alarming rate but the good news is that we have items due back into stock this week, so the website should look a little healthier by the end of the week.

And, want to hear some 2010 Breyer news? Remember a while back i mentioned that Breyer UK will be making a model of a RDA (Riding for the Disabled) Pony to feature as a UK Special Run, in the 2010 range. Well, the pony who is going to be created is called "Strikey", a chestnut haflinger with a flaxen mane and tail. Click here to see a picture of him and read all about him. The model is going to be Traditional Scale and will be available in Early 2010 (around March we are guessing). The mould to be used is still under wraps at the moment but as soon as we know, you will know too. :)

30th November 2009:
Hello All! Hope your all okay. Its all go here in the office and Christmas is definately here. Horses are walking in and out of the warehouse every few minutes! Just a little reminder that our last order date for Christmas is the 18th December 2009.

Becky :)

24th November 2009:
Hello! Just a little update for you. Customers who may have tried to contact us today will have heard the BT phone message informing them that there is a fault on our telephone line. We are currently experiencing problems with our phone and internet access as someone (or something!) tried to steal our phone cables (you cannot make these things up!). We thought that the cable had fallen down with the high winds and gales we experienced yesterday but to our surprise the BT men informed us that the cable had been cut! Madness! Anyway, orders are being despatched as usual and we hope to be back up and running as normal with our telephone and internet very shortly. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to speaking to you all soon (that and we are going to employ someone to guard our telephone cables from now on!!!)

Becky

21st November 2009:
Afternoon! Yes, its Saturday and i'm in the office catching up on work. I have some exciting news to tell you today. We have three new products arrive this week: The Fun with Horses set that includes Zip the Pony, Secretariat and the new Cloud: Challenge of the Stallions Set. Click here to view the new arrivals. The Cloud set, pictured right, is a Mid Year product for 2009 that we weren't sure whether we would receive or not, hence its not featured in our Christmas catalogue. The set contains models of the equine characters from the latest episode featured on a TV Show in the USA: Firestorm, Bolder, and the 2 foals Image and Ember. A great set that has arrived just in time for Christmas.

This week also saw some out of stock products return including the Stable Cleaning Kit, the Country Lovers Playset and the Schliech Red Barn. Its nice to see the old favourites back in the range- its been a little bit odd without them!! Don't forget that next week its only 4 week until the big day and our stocks are going up and down all the time. We are down to single figures of our stables and we are expecting to run out of them by the end of the month. Eeek!

Becky :)
14th November 2009:
Hello All! Gosh, its been days since i've managed to make it to my computer- there have been hundreds of boxes in the way!! Its been a busy week (again!) and we have been working overtime to help Santa and get your orders on their way to you. Our Utterly Horses stables have been very popular. So popular in fact that our stocks of our exclusive stables are getting low and once these have been sold, we are unable to get anymore back into stock before Christmas. We recommend that if you have a UH stable on your wishlist to order one sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. At the rate they are trotting out of our warehouse, we expect to sell out of stables before the end of November (and the new versions of the stables will not be back into stock until the early 2010). Order your stable today here.

Other than working like a maniac, i have been busy planning our wedding- outfits, rings, cakes... there is so much to think about!! Its very exciting (and a little bit scary) to think that in just over 3 months time it will be the big day. I haven't even started to look for "thee" dress yet! Hmm, i better add that to my wedding to do list!!

Catch you all later. I'm off to hunt for horses to coax into boxes ready for posting on Monday.

6th November 2009:
Hello! :) Its been a manic week as we have been busy packing orders for Santa. Our office has been looking like a box warehouse for the last few days!! One product that has finally arrive after weeks of waiting is Water, the 4th horse in the Ethereal Series. "Elusive and variable, water can be as soft as the morning dew, as wild and raging as the storm-tossed surf or frozen into icy crystalline beauty. Breyer's Water, painted as a magnificent dappled grey, captures those qualities in a Traditional Series model." To see pictures and more details, please click here.

I've also found details of some of the Traditional models from the 2010 Breyer range. Click here to see piccies and more details.
